A little about me - Shiela Johnson
I am a wife of 30 years, I have three adult children, and I am 'Nana' to two amazing granddaughters! I have been a Christian since 1974. I received Christ at the tender age of 13 and I never let go. Good thing, because I have needed Jesus Christ in my life the entire time! I love God's word and I am passionate about sharing it. I am a prayer warrior and I love winning the lost!
This blog is another opportunity to share my hopes for healing in the lives of individuals and families. My desire is to touch hearts that need reassurance that God IS for us and not against us, that He is with us always, and loves us always! There are few statements that carry with them absolutes with guarantees and that is one of them! I desire to know that women in particular are reminded of God's promises, we seemed to forget or do not quite absorb them. Instead, we oft times let the circumstances of our lives walk all over them and forget the potent power of God and His promises. If you are like me it does happen. My own personal life has been riddled with pain, heartache, and loss. Since my first encounter with my Savior, Jesus Christ has been about regenerating my soul through personal experience and relationship with Him. I struggle to let the old man or flesh die. I try hard, but in and of myself without Christ's help it's just another day of helpless floundering or disobediently doing things in my own strength which fails miserably. Every day is another opportunity, sometimes it takes seasons for me to get that I don't have to walk around that mountain one more time. God's amazing grace is that He has already won the battle and we can come boldly before His throne in our times of need. Developing daily devotions is a good start towards beginning to hear and to know what it is that God is asking of us or simply telling us. Let me encourage you to dust off that Bible if you haven't already and find a quiet place, pen and paper, and let the learning begin!
